SB1 High Transit Passenger Security doors

High security non–monitored, anti-return gates providing fast transit of passengers from the secure to the insecure zones.

Orientation: Single directional unit (exit)

Function: Passage in one direction, electronically controlled

Materials: #4 Stainless steel internal structure, tempered glass

  • Timing belt transmission
  • Gearbox, 10:1 the movement is reversible in order to allow door movement by hand in case of power failure and maintenance requirements.
  • Brake on the motor axle in order to stop movement at any position
  • Absolute encoder for positioning
  • Redundant absolute encoder for diagnostics and certification compliance

Sensing: Different sensors analyze the movement of passengers, detect the direction, position of travel and activate the doors accordingly. Should passage in the reverse direction be detected the sensors will instruct the doors to close and trigger an alarm. Sensors detect left luggage

Visual Indicator: 3 visual indicators, one on entrance, one in the corridor and one on landside

Locking device: The locking of the doors is achieved via 24Vdc solenoid locks

Operating Modes: By key selector, can be operated in four modes

  • Automatic: unidirectional in the exit direction only
  • Interlocking: Unidirectional controlled passage
  • Maintenance: no control in either direct on
  • Locked: the walkway closed and locked

By means of remote inputs, it is possible to select automatic, interlocked and locked modes, as well as operate both entry and exit doors

Obstructions: Safety sensors prevent closing of doors; motor drive checks any obstacle during door motion.

Alarm Conditions: Alarm triggered in case of door obstruction, wrong way usage, and system diagnostic failure.

Power failure: 2 different final assignations for double version: forward (airside closed) and backward (landside closed)

Fire Alarm: 1 input programmable as NO or NC

  • All models available in either a narrow or wide lane Narrow=650mm wide=950mm
  • All models can be installed as stand alone or in multi lane adjacent configurations (utilising the glazing of the last unit for the next unit)

Single Type S and SW

The single door versions in 650mm and 950mm walkway widths, functionality for both models will be the same the wider lane simply giving move passenger room


Double Type D and DW

Primarily two S or SW cabinets joined by a corridor without a roof; the detection is performed only at the cabinets but there is no corridor presence detection. This model allows for varying corridor lengths and angles either provided by Proud or the user or utilizing an existing corridor within the airport.  

High Security Type HS and HSW

As with the D and DW but 2 cabinets will always be joined by a corridor; the corridor is fully enclosed with a roof section. The two cabinets and the whole length of the corridor have detection. A corridor length of 8.25’ is standard. Passengers are allowed to return to the secure side as long as they have not passed the Non-return line.
